Welcome to the Solar System Mission Control & Dynamics simulator, a fully interactive 3D model of the inner solar system built on Three.js. This application is more than just a modelโ€”it’s a real-time mission control interface where you can observe celestial movements and execute your own space missions and risk assessments.

Key Features & Capabilities

1. Realistic Orbital Mechanics

  • Accurate Scale & Movement: Observe the Sun, planets (Mercury through Neptune), and major moons moving along their true orbital paths. The Moon is accurately tidally locked with Earth, always showing the same face.
  • Time Control: Use the smooth, logarithmically scaled speed slider to compress time from natural speed ($1\times$) up to $5000\times$, allowing you to witness years of motion in seconds.

2. Mission Launch & Transit Simulation

  • Satellite Deployment: Launch custom satellites into orbit around Earth, setting specific altitudes and inclinations (like the ISS or a Geostationary satellite).
  • Interplanetary Travel: Plan and execute Rocket missions between any two celestial bodies. The rocket launches realistically from the surface of the source object and follows a dashed green trajectory line.
  • Asteroid Threat Modeling: Introduce Asteroids from deep space at custom speeds. Track their dashed orange trajectory and witness a dramatic 3-second particle explosion upon impact with any celestial body.

3. Interactive Command Center

  • Real-Time Data: Select any planet, moon, satellite, rocket, or asteroid to view its current distance from Earth/Sun, orbital period, speed, and real-time Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) to its destination.
  • Dynamic Views: Easily switch between the immersive 3D view (with smooth camera focusing on selected objects) and a full-screen 2D map overlay for strategic, top-down observation of the entire solar system’s layout.
  • Clean Interface: The interface is designed for minimal clutter, featuring compact controls, smooth panel animations, and dedicated floating icons for quickly accessing information and the strategic 2D map.

This simulator is perfect for space enthusiasts, students, and anyone curious about the complex mechanics governing our cosmic neighborhood.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industrys standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown prmontserrat took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.
